Biography

Krishnamachar Prasad received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Western Australia, Australia, in 1990 and has been a Professor and of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Auckland University of Technology, Auckland, New Zealand, since 2007. He was previously Lecturer, Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, over the years 1992 to 2006. He has been a Visiting Professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design, Singapore, The University of Western Australia, Australia, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India and Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneshwar, India. He is on the advisory board of several educational institutions in India. He has published more than 200 papers in international journals and conferences.

Area of Interests

Reliability studies of solid-state electronic devices and integrated circuits, novel process technologies for Silicon and compound semiconductor integrated circuits, semiconductor-based sensors for odor, color and chemical profiling, in order to develop smart tools that can be used in fruit, wine, fish and fast food industries, integrated circuit design, electric vehicles, electromyography and high-temperature superconductor (HTS) applications in the power industry.
