Biography

Dr.J.Namratha Manohar has a total of 36years of experience, 18years in Industry and 18years of Teaching. She is presently serving as Professor of Electrical Engineering Department at Muffakham Jah College Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad. She is an active member of IEEE – Power and Energy Systems since four years, IEEE-PES Women In Power and IEEE Women in Engineering. She has been elevated as Senior Member and Brand Ambassador, IEEE-PES Hyderabad Section. She did her Schooling at St.Anns High School Secunderabad, Intermediate at St.Francis College, Secunderabad, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Osmania University, Campus College of Engineering in 1982. Since 1982 to 1999 Served as Manager at M/S. Hindustan Cables Limited, Hyderabad for 18 years in various Departments as Quality Control, Engineering and Production Planning and Control. Post her Voluntary Retirement from HCL in 1999, she has taken up the Teaching Profession mainly to serve the Student Community and share her Industrial experience knowledge. It is after taking up her Teaching Profession during her forties she successfully completed her MCA and  M.Tech(Electrical Power Systems). She has been awarded a Doctorate in Electrical and Electronics Engineering by JNTUH in 2014. She has published more than 15 papers in National and International Journals and Conferences. She has supervised more than 300BE projects and 50 M.Tech Projects. She is presently guiding four Ph.D. Scholars. She has served as Principal, Head of the Department and Dean Academics in several Engineering Institutions.
